Biography
Up close and personal: Kenny Desmangles Born and raised in Cap Haitian, the oldest of five siblings, I have always had music as a big part of my life. Since school was always a priority in my household, it was really difficult to actualize the talent I realized. I had from an early age. Nonetheless, I grew up listening to two of the biggest Orchestras from Cp-Haitian, my hometown in Haiti: Tropicana d’Haiti and Septentrional d’Haiti.

After moving with my family in the United States, my musical career really took off at a church called “Holy Name” in upper Manhattan, in New York, where I used to participate in Talent Shows and sang
with the church’s band; that’s where I created my first band, ZOUKE
My greatest musical influences:
Music Types: Salsa, Meringue, Kompa, Zouk, R & B, Soukous, and some French songs.

My first performance was at my little brother’s Baptism party. There were a few hundred people there,
including my family members and they were going crazy, clapping, dancing, and screaming.Kenny, on
writing a song
“Writing a song sometimes comes in different ways: the lyrics come first and sometimes it could be the
melody. I start with just a verse, create the music, work on the chords and arrangements, and complete
the lyrics later.”
