BIOGRAPHY

About the writer/lead actress- Andrée Harris was born and raised in Washington, DC. She plays the role of Constance. She discovered 3 years ago that she was over 75% West African. That knowledge explained her years of love that she’s had for the culture. Since childhood, she used arts as a means of escape from trauma. Andree started this journey as an author and playwright. Acting came into play when a cast member bailed at the last minute and it was too late to re-cast. Thus, catching the acting bug. Shortly after, she was introduced to TV and film and that opened up a realm of possibilities. Her acting roles have been seen on ID Channel (Murder Chose Me & Dark of Night), TV One (For my Man and For my Woman, Thou Shalt Not) she’s consistently on the roster of Antoine Allen (#5 of top 100 Indie Film Directors)of AA Films, she’s worked with Kevin Gardners’ web series Harlots Webb and many more. After working on those projects, she became inspired to write short films. She wrote and produced the multi-nominated film VITA, the Social Worker and the International multi-award winning short film Backwards. She has a fond mother-daughter-like relationship with multi-award-winning actress & filmmaker Winstina Taylor. It is through their relationship that many ideas flow together. Andree has won many accolades for weaving short film together to make a great point. Andrée spends her time between her family, ministry, the arts, writing, supporting the Just 4 Us Foundation, Inc. and Uniting Our Youth, Inc, as well as, working with women in recovery, speaking against domestic violence, bullying and advocating for children in foster care, & youth and adults with special needs. She has adopted 7 (4 of which are her great nieces and great nephew) children and gave birth to 2 and she has 6 grandchildren. All of whom brings joy to her youthful life.
