Biography

Rutshelle Guillaume, a lover of life, love and music.

Author-composer-interpreter, Rutshelle Guillaume was born on July 28 in Port au Prince, Haiti.

As a pastor's daughter, Rutshelle began to sing at the age of five in the Church.

In 2007, her passion for music led her to join the group "REL", a musical formation composed, for the most part, of young Haitian musicians of the National School of Arts (ENARTS).

In 2008, Rutshelle pursued his studies and moved towards philosophy at the Ecole NormaleSupérieure (ENS) of the State University of Haiti.

Mastering his life as his voice, Rutshelle lives in pace between teaching at Bird College (2009 to 2011) and his breakthrough in music through artistic collaborations.

In 2010, she sings with Harry Dumorney, says Doc Filah the title "Trèvpouamoni", a song from his album "Akriliksoutwalrezon".

It is in March 2010 that the Haitian singer BIC discovers it and proposes to him to sing in duet the title "Mesiticheridoudou", available on the album "Kreyol sings, Kreyol konprann, vol II" and video-clipped in September 2013.

From this meeting, BIC will become his "mentor" and allow Rutshelle to make his voice heard on the Haitian scene.

 

It was in 2011 that her musical career took off and became known in the Haitian musical universe.

During a training on vocal techniques organized by James Germain, Emeline Michel and Stevenson Théodore at the Fokal, his performance on stage allows him to surprise YoleDerose, in search of young female talents for his project "Haiti Heart of Women". Rutshelle then joined this training in September 2011.

On the 24th of September 2011 on the stage of the Havanah Guitar Night, the Haitian public discovers Rutshelle in its 1st interpretation of Kite'mKriye, title that will be later a tube.

Rutshelle then becomes the female voice to be reckoned with in Haiti and proposals for collaborations in various musical universes are presented. This is how Rutshelle will sing in duet with Fantom "Pouki or pat konprannmwen", video-clipped title in 2013 and on the last album "RED" of rap group Baricad Crew.

Rutshelle takes advantage of these experiences to create a unique stage and vocal universe.

Rutshelle, with her head on her shoulders and responding to the demands of Port-au-Prince life, pursued her professional career in parallel by including in October 2012 the Kiosk of the Ministry of Haitians living Abroad at the Toussaint Louverture airport in Port au Prince. 2013 will be the year that will mark Rutshelle's flight to a solo career in Haiti and make it discover internationally.

It is also in 2013, that Rutshelle integrates the musical project "Vwalye", backed by the European Union and whose objective is to make discover Haitian talent emerging. Between rehearsals, album recording and concerts, Rutshelle continues to create a place in the Haitian musical universe.

The year 2013 is also marked by the presence of Rutshelle internationally.

In May 2013, Rutshelle participates in the Compas Festival in Miami where she sings solo and also with the diva Emeline Michele.

In July 2013, Rutshelle also accompanies BIC on stage at the Nuit d'Afrique festival in Montreal.

At the end of the year 2013, Rutshelle is now working on the preparation of his first solo album.
